KRANSHOEK WINE TASTING & RAPTOR TOUR
Enjoy a unique cultural experience in the heart of the Garden Route that pairs wine tasting at the Luka Wine Estate and Plettenvale Wine Estate, a visit to Radical Raptors and a cheese platter lunch with wine tasting at Packwood Country Estate.
Packwood Estate is set in 1000 acres of pristine countryside with breathtaking views of the mountains, indigenous forest & distant ocean, located in the middle of Plett and Knysna along the Garden Route, owned and managed by fourth generation farmers, Peter and Vicky Gent. Having always had a very keen interest in fine wine the Gent's introduced the vineyard to the estate in 2006 where 3.5ha of cool climate cultivars can be found – Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay all growing in harmony and cared for with passion
Luka Wine Estate is a boutique wine farm set in 1.5 hectares of Sauvignon Blanc vineyards near Plettenberg Bay in the Garden Route and features beautiful views over the adjoining Knysna Elephant Park and adjacent mountains. The 1.5 hectares of Sauvignon Blanc vineyard currently produces 6 000 bottles annually. Luka wines won a Silver Michelangelo for the 2012 Sauvignon Blanc and a Vitis Vinifera Double Gold for the 2013 Sauvignon Blanc.
Plettenvale Boutique Wines are hand crafted with careful attention to detail, producing wines of excellent quality. The estate includes approximately 3 000 Pinot Noir and 3 000 Chardonnay vines and about 350 Syrah vines. Vines were planted in 2008 and they enjoyed their first, but very small, harvest in 2011. Having matured into a fine estate, they now produce 10 000 bottles of wine each year. Their main focus is on the beautiful Brut Rosé MCC, the balance spread between Dry Rosé, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Syrah. In 2016 they will add a Chardonnay Blanc de Blanc MCC to their range. They are assisted by award winning wine maker Anton Smal in their wine making and by Paul Wallace renowned viticulture expert in their vineyards.

CRAGS WINE TASTING & WILDLIFE TOUR
Looking for a wine and wildlife adventure? This day tour combines the best wine estates and vineyards in the Crags with a special visit to the Mill at the Old Cape Mohair Factory and the Tenikwa Wildlife Awareness Centre. By late morning you will visit the Bramon, Newstead and Redford Lane wine estates, where you will enjoy a delicious gourmet lunch at either the Bramon or Newstead wine estates.
Bramon Wine Estate: family owned and run by Peter and Caroline Thorpe is the first wine estate this far east of the Western Cape and has broken new ground by pioneering vineyards in the Plett area. The success of their award winning Methodé Cap Classique sparkling wines and still wines, has brought a plethora of new vineyards to the area. Bramon's restaurant and cathedral-like cellar caters for tailor made functions and weddings. Their exciting range of wines can be had at the Estate's ever-popular restaurant. Languorous lunches set in the vineyard overlooking the Elephant Sanctuary and Tsitsikamma Mountains makes an afternoon a pleasure and a treat!
Redford Lane Wines is a small boutique producer with one hectare currently under young Sauvignon Blanc vines. Their philosophy is a simple and passionate one – creating particularly easy drinking, refreshing white wine soft on the palate.
Newstead Wine Estate has a rich farming heritage owned by Doug and Sue Lund, who brought their family to the Crags in 2006 planting new vineyards, building a tasting room and creating inspiring places and spaces. Their first harvest in 2012 yielded some of the most unblemished grapes any farmer is ever likely to see. Prioritizing quality over quantity, Newstead pays meticulous attention to detail, using organic fertilizers and covering their vines with netting.
Kay and Monty Vineyards is nestled in the heart of the picturesque Plett Winelands. The vineyards roll across five hectares of resplendent hills, beyond which lies the breathtaking mountainous terrain of the Keurbooms River Nature Reserve and Forest. The vineyards currently produce three varietals namely Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir
